XSpeedSki Series Anzère - Report

The first 2 rounds of the Xspeedski Series, Swiss Popular Championship of Speedskiing, were organized this previous week-end (19-20 January) under a bright sun, on the track of les Luis in Anzère.
Thanks to the excellent preparation of the track, skiers could do 4 runs per day in the best security conditions.
On Saturday, Julie fell, without any serious consequence, and was taken care by the relevant service of the resort and Gabi Corin, responsible of the security for the FSSV. Due to the fresh snow of the day before, the track was not very fast, but, for the first race of the year, the skiers could enjoy the track reaching speeds close to 130 km/h.

After a clear night and the cleaning of the track, the race of Sunday was faster.

The best speed was reached by both Frenchman Christophe Thivend and the Swiss junior Julien Kipfer with 135.133 km/h.

We are expecting you for the next races on 29 and 30 March in Zinal, rounds 3 and 4 of this Swiss Popular Championship of Speedskiing.

Thank you to all the skiers and good healing to Julie.
